Meet the Coaches

Jim Coley - Lead Coach

Jim has taught social studies for 25 years, and has been in Reynoldsburg High School for the past 15 years. He graduated from The Ohio State University. He currently teaches AP government and Engineering Design and Development.  His love of tools and all things mechanical led him to help launch team 4085 in 2011. His primary focus on the team is robot construction; he also supports fundraising.  

Renee Coley - Team Administrator

Renee has taught middle school ELA for 27 years. Currently she teaches ELA and Computer Science at Hannah Ashton Middle School. Her husband, Jim Coley, was a founding coach for the team and got her involved with 4085 from the start. Her primary role as Team Administrator has her focused on travel, paperwork, rosters, and other logistical tasks related to keeping our team running smoothly.

Nadine Phillips - Academic / Build Coach

This is Nadine’s third year as a 4085 coach. She got her Bachelor degree for science education at the University of Toledo, and her Master’s degree for Education at Ashland University. She teaches chemistry at Reynoldsburg High School’s Summit Campus. She is a build coach this year and monitors academic performance for 4085.
